Book: The Mass: Its Mysteries Revealed
Author: George P. Morse
Catholics Committed to Support the Pope, Silver Spring, MD, 1999, pp.51

Preface:

Many millions of Catholics attend Holy Mass. A great number do not appear to know fully what really is taking place on the altar. And that is precisely the message of this book. This booklet is not about what we can see. It is not about liturgical signs and symbols. Rather, it is about what is taking place within those signs and actions; about what is really important, or, shall we say, Who really matters? It is Jesus Christ and the Supernatural reality and grace present in every Mass.

. . . The reader will not that sacred authors have been cited spanning the entire 2000 year history of the Church. These holy men and women witness to the unchanging truths of the Mass throughout the ages truths affirmed by the Magisterium of the Church.

. . . This book may therefore be seen as an antidote t an unduly horizontal understanding of the Mass that reduces the Eucharistic celebration to the level of a community meeting and over-emphasizes the meal dimension.
